Bankruptcy in Ontario and Liens

What happens to liens placed against property when bankruptcy in Ontario is declared

One Response to “Bankruptcy in Ontario and Liens”

  1. J. Douglas Hoyes, CA, Trustee says:

A lien is not automatically removed by a bankruptcy in Ontario. In general terms, secured creditors, such as a mortgage on a house or a lien on a house or car, are not discharged in a bankruptcy.

Feel free to contact a trustee in Ontario for further information on liens and bankruptcy.
