Without knowing the facts of your mother&#039;s case I can&#039;t be more specific.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Regarding Bill C-55 (the new bankruptcy rules), no, the new rules are not yet in effect, and at this time we have no idea when, or if, they may come into force.</description>
