If there is money in a trust account at Tarion Home Warranty in my name and I declare personal bankruptcy, will that money be lost once it is released or will it be mine? If I declare personal bankruptcy in Ontario now, the money will be released sometime early next year – does timing mean anything? I really don’t want to lose the money – should I wait to next year and have the money before bankruptcy? Please help, no one seems to know this answer.
