Surplus income deductions

Since student loans are not covered by bankruptcy, are the student loan payments deducted from surplus income calculations?

No, student loan payments are not deducted from income for the purposes of the surplus income calculation. Only child support, spousal support, medical condition expenses, court fines and penalties, and certain expenses as a condition of employment are allowable deductions.
