Can a credit agency find me?

I have an outstanding student loan debt. Can a credit agency find me if I moved? Can they find out where I work? They are saying if I don't respond to the letter, they are going to send it to the ministry of government services. Can the ministry find out where I work?

Eventually a credit agency or a collection agency will find out where you live and where you work. They often find out by looking in the phone book, or waiting until you apply for credit again. It is relatively easy for the government to find out where you work, since your employer is on your T-4 that is filed with your tax return each year.
