Sold vehicle before bankruptcy

Hi, couple of months ago I sold my vehicle to a family member. I'm filling bankruptcy and was wondering if anybody can take that sold vehicle back from the new owner.

It depends on the value of the vehicle. If the vehicle was worth $50,000 and you sold it to your mother for $1, then yes, the trustee in your bankruptcy would attempt to recover the vehicle. However, if the vehicle was worth less than $5,650, and you have no other vehicles, that it's probably not an issue, since you would have kept the vehicle in a bankruptcy anyway. I suggest you contact a trustee to give you advice on your specific situation.
